Seems like the weeks between each update just increases. I’m sorry but I guess there’s just a lot going on here! I’m having tons of fun.. So I also have a lot to tell. Don’t know where to start, honestly.
We just started a new semester, a couple of weeks ago. I changed some of my classes so now my classes are: Band, Chemistry I, Accelerated English II, Pre-Calculus, AP History, Economics and Spanish I.
AP History is one of my new classes. AP stands for Advanced Placement and it’s definitely more challenging than the US History class I used to have. But if you take an exam at the end of the year and do pretty good, you get college credit and stuff. And yeah, it’s just more fun and interesting than the old class. So I really like it.
In church I’m doing something called bible quizzing. It’s so much fun and this year we’re doing the book of Acts. You sit on benches and a quizmaster asks questions and you jump and finishes the question and then answer it. You also quote verses and just.. Yeah. It’s tons of fun. We go to a quiz each months, and I’m on a team with Caitlin and Emily. Last month was an invitational which is kind of a bigger quiz that lasts two days. We put our two teams from Pleasant Hill (My church) together and we actually got 3rd place! I guess it’s because the other boys team from PH are so good.. Like, Eric and Paul know everything. We’re in the experienced division and then there’s the rookie divison (Which I’m supposed to be in, but I wanted to be on Emily and Caitlin’s team) and they got 4th place, I think. So yeah. Quizzing definitely takes up a lot of time because it involves lots of studying. I had some pictures of us with the trophies but I haven’t uploaded them yet.
What else? I got nominated for honors band. I didn’t even know what it was when Katie told me but we (The ones nominated) go to some place for a day and play some stuff and it’s apparently really fun. Band is a lot different here, I mean, we play every schoolday! And we’ve played jazzband and stuff, actually, it’s kind of scary, improvisation is so not my thing. Haha.
I’m trying to think of other things to talk about.. It’s awful how things slip my mind when I’m actually writing about them. I guess I’ll edit this or post a new entry with the pictures. Miss you guys, please comment! I love comments. Haha.

Tenk da ble jeg førstemann til å kommentere – men vi visste jo at du hadde planer om å legge ut noe – dette har vi ventet på, veit du. Du kan jo legge ut bilde av der du marsjerer ut på gressbanen som førstemann i korpset – dere er så flotte i hvite uniformer og hatter med dusker. Kanskje skrive litt om hva du så i Washington DC? Vinterbilder hjemmefra og fra skolen? Fortelle om snow days? Men aller mest håper vi at du blir bra av forkjølelsen – igjen! Klem fra mamma!

Takk for ny rapport, Karoline! Fint at du skriver litt til alle de som er innom og kikker, nå skal vi varsle om at du har lagt ut noe mer. Vi holder oss jo orientert, vi, som snakker med deg hver søndag.

Ja, jeg er nok en av de som har ventet med lengsel og smerte på “news from over there”. Det er så gøy å lese om hvordan du har det, og skjønner at du har det gøy. Her står alt bra til, og vi planlegger Norges-ferie til sommeren. Mamma, Pappa og Henrik er heldige som skal over og besøke deg. Det blir sikkert en opplevelse:-)

I’m really happy to know that you’re still having a great time doing your thing in school. I used to be in the band when I was younger but I couldn’t cope with it because just like you said, I play every school day, my grades started deteriorating. It was really fun though. :p
Yeah the weeks between each update seems to be increasing but it doesn’t really matter because I get to talk to you online almost every week! That settles the updates.
